Process Electrification | Feasibility & GHG Assessment
The client optimized the process of its plant to increase the plant’s production. The process needs water vapor currently generated by a propane-fed boiler. The use of propane generates greenhouse gases (GHGs), and the client wishes to decarbonize its operations.
The mandate for Norda Stelo was to evaluate the GHG emissions based on the increased production, to review the selection of an electric boiler to replace the propane-fed boiler, and to summarily review the technical feasibility of this replacement and its implications on the electrical system of the plant.
