Construction of the spillway for the new Péribonka IV power plant
Norda Stelo carried out multiple electrical engineering and automation assignments in the construction of the spillway for the new Péribonka IV power plant. Our work involved designing control panels, PLC programming, designing lighting, electrical distribution and grounding, developing a start-up commissioning procedure and providing technical support.
Highlights
- Three evacuating valves, two of which are heated
- Each valve equipped with two unit heaters and its own motor control centre (MCC)
- Compliance with Hydro-Québec standards for equipment design, procedures and manuals
- Removable roof to protect winches (electrical wiring attached to the wall on bunk brackets)
- Bridge crane for beam storage
