Cleveland Dam Airshaft Service Elevator and Ducting System

Metro Vancouver retained Norda Stelo as the Prime Consultant for the design and installation of a new service elevator and ducting system within an existing 60-metre-deep airshaft at Cleveland Dam. The project aimed to improve safe access to the underground galleries while protecting the equipment from the effects of a wet environment prone to icing.

Seymour Falls Dam Spillway Gate

Norda Stelo designed a new hydraulically actuated spillway gate for Seymour Falls Dam, whose reservoir supplies approximately one-third of Metro Vancouver’s drinking water. The project aimed to improve operational safety, provide greater flexibility for annual fish migration, and integrate the new gate into the existing spillway while minimizing impacts on reservoir operations.
