Needs Analysis and Studies

Norda Stelo offers cutting-edge expertise in railway engineering, focusing on needs analysis and in-depth studies. This enables projects to be planned accurately and efficiently, while optimizing infrastructure. Our services include environmental and hydraulic studies, feasibility studies, as well as tailor-made studies, ranging from 400 km rail corridors to 200 m spurs or side tracks.

Design and Planning

With an in-depth understanding of Canadian passenger and freight railroad operations, our experts can support you in the design of new tracks, railway bridges and related infrastructure, such as stations, yards, scales and repair pits.  

Preliminary design includes the development of initial concepts, as well as 3D modelling and dynamic simulations. We also support you in assessing the load-bearing capacity of railway bridges, considering their long-term safety and performance. In addition, we carry out safety analyses and inspect the condition of level crossings to propose solutions for bringing them up to standard, thereby enhancing the safety and efficiency of the network.
